Angel’s Envy is known for their finished whiskeys, and age is a cornerstone of their craft. To celebrate their 15th anniversary, they have created a truly bold, special blend of their first-ever age stated Cask Strength release. This is some of the oldest liquid to ever hit a bottle under the Angel’s Envy label: Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled in July 2014 and March 2015. And just as in Scotland or Ireland, their 10year age statement encompasses the total time this rare whiskey spent in oak – both new charred and finishing barrels.
Nose: Sweet cinnamon toast and creamy fruit nougat, woven over a backbone of candied nuts.
Palate: Rich notes of baklava fade into ripe apricot, crème brulee, and cognac, spiced with a touch of grains of paradise.
Finish: The port cask influence builds gracefully, revealing notes of rum raisin cake while leaving a lingering invitation for another sip.
