Description
Definition: aged rum with a two-stage maturing process.
Alcoholic content: 37,5% ABV.
Production: first resting for five years in the Caribbean, inside American oak casks. Later shipped to the facilities of the Williams & Humbert winery in Jerez (Andalucia – Spain) where it undergoes the final stage of ageing, which lasts for three years, in casks which have previously been used to age the international award-winning sherry “Dos Cortados” with a guaranteed age of 20 years as: certified by the Denomination of Origin Jerez-Xérès-Sherry.
Awards won by Dos Maderas 5+3:
Bronze medal at the International Rum Festival (San Francisco) 2008.
Silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition 2008.
