A few years back, Old Elk came to us with the very last of their wheated MGP-distilled Bourbon inventory and we chose a 112.2 proof cask that we absolutely loved. The nose was like creme brulée and peanuts with plenty of sweet oak. We were smitten.

While the 56.1% ABV packs plenty of punch, proofing it down reveals an incredible depth and complexity of flavor. Simply add a few drops of water and you’ll be bowled over with maple syrup, brandied cherries, and a supremely oaky sweetness that lasts for a full minute on the finish.

If you’re a rocks drinker, this whiskey will be your go-to. By the time the ice melts, it’s in the perfect place for maximum flavor. Either way, when it’s gone, it’s gone!
