Description
Nose: Rich and meaty from the outset (beef broth, brisket, ramen with buckwheat noodles, chicken stock, shitake mushrooms, soaking wet Pinewood forest) but with additional notes of charred Oak, cocoa powder, and dark roast coffee.
Palate: A lovely “old Sherry” profile (ripe figs, dried dates, freshly shelled walnuts, rich Oak) with oatmeal raisin cookies, coffee ice cream, baked apples, and more charred Oak.
Finish: Good length and pleasingly drying; with lingering charred Oak, dark fruit cake, and Amaretti cookies.
