The standard Dampt Chablis sources 100% of its Chardonnay from vineyards directly adjacent to the premier cru vineyard of Vaillons, from vines just a few rows over the borderline.
However, while the Vaillons expression will run you $50 (if you can find it), the standard Chablis is about half that price and offers much of the same minerality, depth, and deliciousness. If you were walking through the Burgundy aisle at Mission, we would happily share with you this “secret” recommendation!
