Ways of Wayfarer Pinot Noir breaks new ground in the story of Pahlmeyer with Prince Hill Vineyard, located in the heart of Oregon’s renowned Dundee Hills. Cleo and Jamie’s long held dream to make Oregon wine was realized with the opportunity to make Pinot Noir from this historic vineyard. Originally planted in 1983 by Oregon Pinot pioneer Dick Erath with his Clone 95 from Clos Vougeot in Burgundy, the red volcanic Jory soils and sun-catching southeastern exposure in this otherwise cool and damp region yield Pinot Noir distinctive for its expressive elegance and silky, powdery tannins.
Wine Spectator 93 Points
“Polished but deeply structured, with rich raspberry and pomegranate flavors highlighted by sassafras tea and forest floor tones as this persists on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2033. “
