Description

Westland’s Cask Exchange continues, this time partnering with the Redhook Brewlab. In this exchange Westland received casks previously holding a Stratosphere Barley Wine made with Strata hops. The final whiskey initially commences launch with a solid malt and oak profile, and a hint of trailing smoke, eventually thrusting it into a barley wine-soaked orbit.
TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Chocolate chip cookie dough, Danish butter cookie, apple skins, jasmine.
Palate: Dried apricot, dates, light smoke, crêpe, subtle vanilla.

CASK TYPES:

Primary: New American Oak (39 months)
Finishing: Re-fill Ex-Bourbon that held Stratosphere Barley Wine Beer (48 months)

CASK MATURATION TIMES: 87 Months

GRAIN BILL: Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Brown Malt
