You’ll notice that this edition of Yamazakura doesn’t say “Japanese” on the label and that’s because it adds in Scottish whiskies of more maturity to round out the blend. The combination of malt and grain whiskies captures the soft, fruity, and lighter elements of the traditional Japanese whisky style in what feels effortless. Malty grains, sweet vanilla, and just a kiss of citrus on the finish make this whisky a perfect candidate for Highball cocktails and rocks drinking. It’s an unfussy blend in a striking bottle for a great price.
